Uncle Roger's Buses

When this lovely 1961 SO23 Westfalia [below] was spotted on french ebay Roger knew he had to take a look. It was withdrawn unsold a week later , so Roger decided to contact the seller directly.......[he luckily spoke good english.]

He then flew to Nice with a suitcase full of euros and after a checking it over with a torch [ and it was as good as he'd hoped] ... he duly drove it all the way home to blighty, only making stops for some £240 worth of fuel............

Having spent his first night of ownership camped in it at the side of the road near Nice. ..and covering all those miles together he and his new vehicle are truly bonded!
